Owl newsAnglo-Continental Scholarship Winner - British Council Competition

Mexican student Donaji, a Mexican student, enjoyed a scholarship at Anglo-Continental on a 4-week intensive course. She described her course as follows:

"I have no words to express how an amazing experience I had in England. Different culture, different people, amazing landscapes, good English classes, nice classmates and definitely really crazy weather."

"Being serious, I have to thank not only the teachers and the people of the reception, expecially Klara but also all the people hidden somewhere that make Anglo-Continental a great and comfortable place to learn English. By the way I really recommend Miss Mawson as a host Mother. All Kindness!"

"Thanks again for making a family dream come true."

Owl news Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA)

Anglo-Continental has been selected by the Bournemouth local authority to participate in a pilot group which will explore the links between English language schools and a probable change in government legislation concerning the care of foreign students under the age of 16 years. The main purpose of the group will be to examine the levels of care experienced by students while in their Homestay accommodation. We are pleased to be involved in this important area and are fully committed to supporting the government as it strives to ensure that young visitors to the UK have the best possible experience during their brief stay. We will discuss this matter in more detail in future issues as the group develops.
