POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Anglo-Continental, one of Bournemouth’s leading English Language Schools, is looking for an Administrative Assistant to be part of our established summer team.
Working in our busy School for Young Learner Office / Reception area from Monday to Saturday in June, July and August, from 08.00 to 17.30 hours each day and until 20.30 hours on two evenings per week.
Responsible to the Teaching Coordinator, the successful applicant will be providing assistance in the production of administrative paperwork, maintaining student records, assisting with the weekly intake procedure, filing passports, liaising with other staff regarding airport transfers, taking photographs of students for identification purposes, following up on student absences and liaising with local transport companies.
It is a busy and demanding environment and applicants should ideally have proven administrative skills, experience of supervising children and teenagers and an awareness of safeguarding issues. Holiday will not be permitted during the above period.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and other reference checks.

POSITION: ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT
We are inviting applicants to apply for the position of Activities Assistant at our non-residential school for Young Learners in June, July and August. This post involves the careful supervision of young international students aged between 10-17 years, who live with local families. English lessons are provided each morning or afternoon with the activity staff providing sports and creative leisure activities for the remainder of the time, plus two evenings per week and participating in a full day coach excursion each Saturday.
We are looking for applicants who enjoy or have experience of some of the following activities, art, music, drama, sports coaching and movie editing. Applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to guide and supervise children and young adults. The work is rewarding but demands imagination and an outgoing character with the ability to motivate students.
The role is demanding and will require you to be an effective and flexible team player. You must be able to remain positive and enthusiastic whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
Possessing a First Aid certificate and knowledge of safeguarding would be desirable.
Candidates should be available to work throughout July and have some availability in June and August. All staff will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and other reference checks.

POSITION: EXPERIENCED CLEANER
Anglo-Continental, one of Britain’s leading English Language Schools, requires a cleaner for its premises.
The successful applicant will be working as part of the Facilities team, responsible for cleaning the school’s premises to the highest standards at 29-35 Wimborne Road, Bournemouth BH2 6NA.
Proven experience is essential and an attractive rate of pay is offered. We are looking a member of staff to work from 15:00 to 20.00 hours, Monday to Friday.

Safeguarding (Child and Adult at Risk Protection Policy)
As part of our safeguarding policy, ALL potential candidates when being invited to participate in a face-to-face, telephone or skype interview are given the following information. All temporary staff will now be asked to pay for an Enhanced DBS check which Anglo-Continental will carry out. The current cost is £49.00 and this amount will be deducted from their first salary payment. This check is valid for three years. Anglo-Continental accepts students under the age of 18 years and the law classifies these young people as children. As a consequence, Anglo-Continental has implemented a number of safeguarding systems and procedures during the recruitment process. Potential employees are informed that references will be followed up; all gaps in CVs must be explained satisfactorily; proof of identity and qualifications will be required; reference requests will ask specifically whether there is any reason that they should not be employed in situations where they have responsibility for, or access to, persons under 18 years of age.
